Jordan Pickford reacted on social media to Everton's win over Newcastle United – after being taunted for 90 minutes by visiting fans at Goodison Park.
The former Sunderland goalkeeper helped his team win 1-0 last night.
Newcastle fans booed Washington-born Pickford's every touch during the Premier League game.
Pickford, while still at the Stadium of Light, famously celebrated United's relegation with a tweet two years ago which read: "We're staying up, they're doing down ... we're staying up, they're going down. #whatachant #safc #gettheraveon."
And that post wasn't forgotten by visiting fans at Goodison Park.
Pickford, signed by Everton for £25million in the wake of Sunderland's relegation last season, jubilantly reacted to his team's win at the final whistle.
The 24-year-old posted a photograph of himself celebrating on Instagram with a captain which read: "Great 3 points tonight. No better feeling than keeping them quiet. #sendthemin #neverstopraving #everton."
