Ex-Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez sees odds SLASHED to take Premier League job
Former Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez has been attracting plenty of support this week to take up the vacant spot at Everton.
Punters don’t seem put off that Rafa could return to English football at the home of his old club’s Merseyside rivals with BoyleSports cutting his odds into 2/1 from 12/1 on Thursday afternoon, the shortest price he has ever been for the job.
It’s still all about Nuno Espirito Santo however with Everton now in talks with the former Wolves boss after discussions with Crystal Palace came to an end. Nuno was backed into 6/4 from 12/1 earlier this week but has been cut further into 1/1.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: "Nuno Espirito Santo is now the new favourite at Even money from 12/1 but Rafa Benitez is a surprise contender to attract support with his chances now into 2/1 from 12/1 for a shock move to Goodison Park.”
Here are the top contenders according to Boylesports:
Evans – Nuno Espirito Santo
2/1 – Rafa Benitez
10/3 – Christophe Galtier
4/1 – Graham Potter
8/1 – Eddie Howe
10/1 – Duncan Ferguson
14/1 – David Moyes
