NEWCASTLE United defender Davide Santon has taken to Facebook to confirm he’s leaving for Inter Milan.
The full-back – who signed from the Italian giants back in 2011 – is set to join until the end of the season on loan, with a view to a permanent £3.5m transfer in the summer.
“Life is strange, I never imagined I’d come back,” Santon wrote on his official Facebook page.
“I thank Newcastle and all the fans for these three and a half years together, we had many good times and this city and this team will forever be in my heart.
“I am starting a new chapter, I’m happy to return to Inter. I started my career there and had so many important moments.
“I’ll do my best to repay the faith shown in me.”
The 24-year-old has only made one appearance for Newcastle this season, after undergoing a knee operation.
