NEWCASTLE United goalkeeper Tim Krul has his injured elbow scanned.
Krul was forced to withdraw from Holland’s squad for tonight’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Iceland because of the injury, which he suffered in training on Saturday.
And the 26-year-old is being assessed on Tyneside ahead of Saturday’s home game against Leicester City.
The club today issued a short statement, which read: “Newcastle United can confirm that Tim Krul has returned from international duty after suffering an elbow injury.
“The Dutch goalkeeper has now been assessed by the Magpies’ medical staff and underwent a scan on Monday.”
