DANNY Graham has ruled out a move to Middlesbrough from Swansea City, according to Sky Sports.
It had been reported a fee had been agreed for the 27-year-old striker, but Graham’s representatives have told Sky he will not drop down to the Championship.
The news appears to now put Sunderland in pole position to sign the Gateshead-born forward, who is thought to favour a move back to his native North East this month.
Newcastle United are not thought to have a serious interest in signing him, while reported interest from Norwich City now looks to have fallen away.
It had been reported Boro striker Marvin Emnes could move to Swansea as part of the deal for Graham, and it remains to be seen where the latest developments leave the future of the Dutchman.
