DEADLINE DAY: Middlesbrough sign ex-Dutch U21 winger Yanic Wildschut from Heerenveen

MIDDLESBROUGH have made their third signing inside five days with the capture of Yanic Wildschut from Heerenveen.

Boro have signed the talented Dutchman, a product of the famed Ajax Academy, for an undisaclosed fee.

The 22-year-old winger has agreed a two-year contract with a further year’s option.

It is another boost for Boro and boss Aitor Karanka who has seen his new-look team experience a mixed start to the season.

Wildschut joins striker Patrick Bamford who signed on a half-season loan deal on Friday from Chelsea and full-back Ryan Fredericks, who has joined from Spurs for the rest of the campaign.

The Dutchman left Ajax at 18 and has played for Zwolle, Venlo, Den Haag and Heerenveen as well as winning 10 caps for the Netherlands U21 side.
