Ashbrooke Belford House were rocked by a four-goals blast by Annfield Plain at Silksworth Welfare Park last night.

Nathan Young and Andrew Brown had the visitors two goals up by the interval and in the second period both players scored again to seal a comprehensive 4-0 victory.

Boldon CA also won by a 4-0 margin in thederby with Jarrow, but it wasn’t until the 74th minute that the deadlock was broken by Aaron Williams.

From then on, it was one-way traffic with Adam Bell, Josh Houghton and Shaun Graham all beating goalkeeper Carl Donnelly.

Horden CW finished 3-0 winners at home to Leam Rangers. Aaron Coulson fired home from outside the penalty area on 29 minutes and seven minutes later Luke Naylor doubled the lead from distance.

With a minute remaining, Naylor struck again, his angled cross-shot finding the net off a post.

Three-time champions Stockton Town are now second, only a point behind Sunderland West End, after a 3-0 success at Seaham Red Star Reserves. R Kallum Hannah (2) and Tony Johnson netted.

Harton and Westoe CW were sunk 5-0 by lowly Prudhoe Town, with Sam Mannion firing a treble.
