HENDON met Park View for the second successive week and were again convincing winners, this time triumphing 10-0 in the first leg of their TWR Bifolds Challenge Cup first round tie.

Adam Cushingham bagged a hat-trick to inspire the home side, backed by Adam Wasey (2), Robert McManus, Brett Chapman, Stephen Fountain, John Harper and Leighton Cooney. Graeme Thornton was star man, with Sean Robinson best for Park View.

In the second round of the same competition, Oddies pipped visitors Aquatic Sports 3-2 in their first leg.

Man of the match Michael Bulmer’s brace and a Kevin Morton strike did the damage, with Mark Fisk and Michael Conlon replying. David Sewell starred in vain for Aquatic.

Whitburn Village grabbed a 5-2 first-leg advantage against Cheers. Star man Chris Usher and Howard Staestrom both fired doubles, while Karl Mason also notched.

In the only league match, Corner Flag moved joint fourth thanks to a close-fought 3-2 victory against University of Sunderland.
