SUNDERLAND Women have been handed a home draw in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, where they will face Super League side Liverpool.

The Lady Black Cats won their fifth round tie 4-0 against Manchester City yesterday, while Liverpool went one better - winning 5-0 at Premier League side Aston Villa.

It’s a tough game for Sunderland, and they will be hoping for good home support when the game is played a week on Sunday.

Liverpool have made several changes in readiness for the new Super League season as they look to mount a strong challenge. Their players include former Sunderland player Lucy Bronze.

The quarter-final draw has also pitted favourites Arsenal (if they see off Nottingham Forest in the fifth round) against FA Cup holders Birmingham City.
