SEAHAM The George shared the goals around as they beat FC Easington 7-2 in the Peterlee and District Sunday League’s Tommy Burrell Memorial Cup first round.

Shane Docherty (2), Michael Williams, Jordan Bunts, Ryan Temple, Thomas Hobkirk and Michael Wilson all notched.

There were seven second round ties too.

The biggest upset was probably Thornley Harry’s Bar beating Premier Division outfit Easington Lane WMC 2-1, with John Davies and Kyle Middleton onn target. Kyle Scott replied.

Peterlee Helford United outgunned Murton Park View 4-1, with Dave Scott responding to strikes from Anthony Cook (2), Michael Cockburn and sub Gary Shaw.

Another all-Premier clash saw Craig Robinson and Gary McAndrew help Easington CIU sink Horden Comrades 2-0.

Easington Half Moon saw off Peterlee Hearts 4-2, thanks to James Connor, Phil Jones, Dave Rose and Ken Holden, with Michael Coates and Lee Wood replying.

Jay Jobson (2), Taboun, Stott and Chambers earned Easington Welfare a comfortable 5-1 win against Wingate Grange, with Simon Hall hitting the reply.

Haswell Oddfellows Arms squeezed home 4-3 against New Seaham Mallard, with Carl Stephenson’s brilliant hat-trick supported by Ben Davies. Cooper, Oliver and Welburn struck for Mallard.

Super sub Liam Wintrip hit a treble as Peterlee Catholic Club defeated Seaham Marlborough 5-3. Jamie Gray and Paul Wintrip also notched, with Billy Chisholm (2) and Aaron McDonald replying.

Seaham Island Club enjoyed Marc Taylor’s hat-trick as they crushed Trimdon Colliery Royal Albion 6-0 in the John & Pat McManus Memorial Cup, backed by John Dobinson, Paul Atkinson and Anthony Watson.

Anthony Froud’s strike was not enough for Hetton Fox and Hounds, who lost 2-1 to a last-gasp goal against Chester-le-Street AFC in the Durham County Sunday Cup.

Nathan Graham’s goal helped Easington HMS Victory take Hetton Social to extra time in their First Division Cup tie, Neil Stevenson replying, but Hetton won the penalty shoot-out.

Conor Beeston, Lee Smith and Adrian Whitfield steered Shotton Comrades home 3-1 against Newton Aycliffe Huntsman in the Heart Foundation Cup.

Wingate moved top in the Premier Division with an emphatic 6-1 victory against Horden CW Supporters Club. Philip Hickman’s hat-trick was backed by Dean Fox (2) and Paul Cudlip, with Jonathan Pearson replying.

Doubles from Kyle Bagnall and Paul Elliott set up Easington Southside for a 4-1 First Division success over Peterlee Central Club, with Matty Pattinson replying.

In Division Two, Stuart Coxon and Craig Tweddle earned Acre Rigg Celtic a 2-2 draw against newcomers New Seaham Conservative Club, for whom Dan Coulson and Scot Sheriff netted.

Shotton Builders Warehouse beat Wingate Plough Inn 3-0 thanks to Michael Boardman (2) and Craig Woodward.
