RYHOPE CW face one of their most difficult tests of the season tonight when they visit Cleator Moor Celtic in a crucial top three Wearside League clash.
The Wearsiders are just one point behind leaders Stockton Town and two in front of the Cumbrians as the trio battle it out for early season supremacy.
Because they have a significantly better goals difference than Stockton Town, Ryhope will move into pole position if they claim just one point – but manager Garry Errington is gunning for all three.
Unfortunately, he is unable to take a full-strength squad to Cumbria.
Unfortunately Greg Swansbury (ankle) and Richard Jordan (trapped nerve), are on the injured list while work commitments prevent Chris Trewick and Clayton Davis from travelling. In addition, Ross Stead will need a late check on his fitness.
Ashbrooke Belford House host Seaton Carew who have moved into the top half of the table on the back of a four match winning sequence.
Ashbrooke’s joint manager Asa Dobbing reports that a near full strength squad will be on standby. Club captain Mark Green is the only absentee.
Neal Fannen is set to return for Seaton Carew who have transferred Aaron Doyle to Billingham Town.
Easington Colliery could hand a debut to Jack Rounce, signed from Washington, at Prudhoe Town where Carl Price, Kris Johnson and Karl Adams come into the plans of manager Paul Frame and his assistant Craig Parkinson.
Four players, however, are ruled out with Ian Redman, David Henderson, Rhys Weir and Adam Heath all sidelined.
Goalkeeper Mark Fish hasn’t recovered from an injury but Michael Calvert has completed a ban and is named by Prudhoe alongside newcomer Adam Norton.
