RHYOPE CW are now playing catch-up in the race for the Wearside League Championship after losing to leaders Stockton Town at the weekend.

The Wearsiders trail their rivals by six points going into tonight’s game against Prudhoe Town at Kimberley Park.

Greg Swansbury again misses out and joint managers Phil Hall and James Dunn will need to check on the fitness of Nathan O’Neil and Michael Charlton before finalising their line-up. Prudhoe are at full strength.

Sunderland West End are at Annfield Plain and manager Anth Nelson is set to name Barry Turton in his starting II.

Jordan Cook, who has impressed in the three games he has played since signing from Hylton CW, continues in midfield alongside Jamie Fryatt.

Brad Foster and Darren George come into the centre of defence as West End push for a top six finish.

Easington Colliery are mid-table before their fixture at fifth top Richmond Town.

Assistant manager Craig Parkinson reports there will be several changes to the squad.

Rhys Weir, Dale Spence, Rick Maughan and Martin Hope are injured, work commitments sideline Connor Walker and David Laight while Brett Gillatt is suspended.

Fortunately, Michael Pattison, David Paul, Ian Redman, Kyle Young and Luke Page are all available.

Although Ben Darville is unable to play, Richmond are considerably strengthened by the return of goalkeeper Adam Cunningham, Simon Pinkney, Nathan Connor, Gary Sharda and Stuart Browne.

Bottom of the table Hartlepool are at Wolviston missing the suspended Andrew Ross and Jack Stonehouse, who will miss the remaining games with an achilles injury.

A shoulder problem could keep David Thompson on the sidelines but Shaun Ross, Danny Lockwood and Niall Bradley all come into contention.

Wolviston have shown improved form in recent weeks and with five games to play, are only two places off mid-table. They miss captain Shaun Gregory with a hamstring injury but Ben Bonner and Andy McGirr are available.
