RCA play host to unbeaten West Auckland

SUNDERLAND RCA face a tough challenge against in-form West Auckland at Meadow Park in Division One of the Ebac Northern League tonight.

Second-top West are one of only three unbeaten sides, but RCA will hope that Gavin Barton can repeat his two-goal debut from Saturday’s 4-3 loss to Norton.

In Division Two, Chester-le-Street aim to reclaim third place when they host bottom club Stokesley SC, while Horden CW aim for a hat-trick of victories at Thornaby.

Lowly Seaham Red Star face a long journey to Whitehaven, who will move above Ryhope CW into top spot if they win.

H Shildon and West Auckland have been handed tough FA Cup assignments against Blue Square Bet North opposition.

The Railwaymen host Altrincham on September 22, while West entertain Harrogate Town. A third big tie in South West Durham sees Bishop Auckland at home to Evo Stik Premier outfit AFC Fylde, while Spennymoor go to Trafford of the Evo Stik First Division.
