Hetton Fox and Hounds grabbed the derby bragging rights with a convincing win in the Tommy Burrell Memorial Cup.
Hosts Hetton Social battled hard but lost the third-round tie 3-0, with star man Michael Brunning’s double leading the way for Fox and Hounds.
Jeffery Oseni also notched for the visitors. Robert Mayo was Hetton Social’s man of the match.
Premier Division leaders Dawdon Welfare Park saw their Durham County Sunday Cup dreams dashed by a 3-2 second-round defeat at Witton Park, going down to an extra time winner.
Robbie Bird and Kyle Bell struck for Dawdon, who were all square at 2-2 after 90 minutes away to the Wear Valley Sunday League outfit, who were formerly known as Witton Park Rose & Crown.
Craig Price was Dawdon’s star man.
