Have your say

The Peterlee Sunday League’s last three representatives in the prestigious Durham County Sunday Cup all made good progress into the second round.

Premier leaders Dawdon Welfare Park walloped Wrekenton Stormont Main 8-1, with Kyle Bell notching a hat-trick.

Rob Bird and sub Andrew Beer fired two goals apiece and another substitute, Marc Taylor, completed the scoring for the Green Drive outfit.

The big victory was a timely boost as Dawdon visit Liverpool side Campfield in the FA Sunday Cup second round this weekend.

Four goals from Michael Cain, a brace from David Taylor and an effort from Stephen Hockaday paved the way for Peterlee Helford United to enjoy an emphatic 7-1 win against Sunderland side Jolly Potters.

Horden CW Supporters Club convincingly defeated Shildon Supporters 6-1 at home, inspired by a superb hat-trick from Robert Taylor.

John Williams, Nathan Walters and sub Craig Harboard also struck to set up a trip to Darlington Haughton Grey Horse in round two.
