Paul breaker as Easington hit back to sink Roofing

Have your say

Jarrow Roofing made a dream start to last night’s Durham Challenge Cup first round tie, but hosts Easington Colliery hit back for a 3-1 win.

Kieran Wrightson beat the wall and goalkeeper Kyle Donaldson with a direct free-kick in the third minute, but within 13 minutes the Colliers were level as David “Busta” Paul was first to react to a loose ball.

Paul then doubled his tally with a 30th minute penalty, awarded after Aiden Haywood had been felled, and, in the 75th minute, Easington made the tie safe with a third goal from Joe Kerridge, who was left with an easy tap-in.
