O’Dea on his way to Durham

Have your say

DURHAM City, hoping to build on last season’s 15th position in the EBAC Northern League First Division, have made their first major signing of the close season.

Mark O’Dea, a midfielder who had spent four seasons with Ashington, will add experience to the side.

Manager Adam Furness said: “His passing, ability to read the game and professional attitude will be a big asset. He formerly played for Arnold Town, so has experience at a high level.”

H Boldon CA are looking for a new chairman to help realise their ambitions of moving into the EBAC Northern League.

Current post holder Kevin Oliver said: “It is a ready-made club for someone to take over. Everything is in place for a move up the pyramid but we need someone with fresh ideas and maybe financial support to take us forward.
