Myers, Florists land home ties in FA Sunday Cup

SUNDERLAND Sunday League clubs Myers and RCA Grangetown Florists have been handed first round ties in the FA Sunday Cup.

Myers, making their debut in the national competition, host Northumberland outfit Burradon and New Fordley at the Billy Hardy Complex on October 19, while Florists host North Ormesby at Meadow Park.

Former winners Hetton Lyons Cricket Club have been drawn at home to Seaton Carew, from Hartlepool, with the tie scheduled for the Brewery Field at Spennymoor.

Other North East ties include Blackhall Hardwick away to Northallerton Sportsmans, Witton Park Rose & Crown hosting Stockton Hardwick and Winlaton Commercial away to Cumbrians Cleator Moor.

Holders Humbledon and Plains Farm are exempt to the second round, while first round byes were given to Newton Aycliffe WMC and Hartlepool Lion Hillcarter.
