HETTON Lyons CC carry the North East flag into the last 16 of the FA Carlsberg Sunday Cup tomorrow.

The four-time national winners tackle old foes Chapeltown Fforde Grene at Spennymoor’s Brewery Field (1pm), with hopes high for Stuart Gooden and Alan Pearson’s side.

Lyons beat their Leeds opponents 2-1 on the way to lifting the cup in 2012, and boss Gooden said: “We’re looking forward to it. We’re unbeaten in the league and through to the last eight of the County Cup, so it’s so far, so good.

“We’ve only got Chris Wallace missing for tomorrow – he’s out suspended. We’re hoping for a good crowd to help us keep the run going.”

Squad: Rhys Jobling, Barry Poskett; Denver Morris, Luke Gilhespy, Max Stoker, Jack Walker, Jordan Fraser, Lee Harrison, Elliott Woods; Craig Price, Craig Ellison, Nicky Kane, Lee Chapman, Simon Ord; Conor Winter, Gavin Barton, Robbie Bird, Matty Weirs, Jack Pounder
