Great Storey for slick Silksworth

Have your say

SILKSWORTH CW consolidated third place in the Wearside League by coasting to a 3-0 win at home to Hartlepool last night.

Poor defending enabled Liam Gill to score his 17th goal of the season for the Wearsiders’ opener, and midway through the opening half Stephen Bagshaw was left with an easy task to double the lead.

Just before the end, the Colliers made the game safe with Adam Storey netting his second goal in two games since joining the club.

Silksworth, albeit having played two games more, are now just two points adrift of second-top Easington Colliery.
