WEST Auckland Town are again looking for a new management team following the shock resignation of Anth Smith and his assistant David Rush.
The pair – both former Sunderland players – took over the Ebac Northern League First Division club in August following the unexpected departure of Peter Dixon and Paul Foster. Smith guided West to an unbeaten 15-game sequence but recently the side went out of the FA Cup and the FA Carlsberg Vase.
General manager Stuart Alderson said: “Things haven’t been right over the last few weeks. Good luck to Anth and David. Everyone at the club wishes them the best wherever their paths may take them. We hope to have someone in charge for Saturday.”
