DURHAM Women have an attractive friendly against new Super League 1 side Manchester City tomorrow.

The Wildcats, who will play in FA WSL2 this season, take on City at New Ferens Park (2pm).

Wearside’s England stars Steph Houghton and Jill Scott have both joined City, leaving Arsenal and Everton respectively. It will be a great test for Durham’s newly-formed side.

Sunderland Ladies also play an FA WSL1 side tomorrow as they take on Everton at Consett AFC’s Belle View Stadium (2pm).

Meanwhile, Sunderland midfielder Rachel Furness has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for two upcoming internationals.

The 25-year-old will join up with her country for the World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and the Faroe Islands.

Northern Ireland face the Swedes at Shamrock Park, Portadown, on April 5 before heading to Torshavn for the second game on April 10.
