CHILTON WMC won 4-2 at Houghton Chilton Lodge in Division One.

Star man Vinny Gash’s brace, backed by Joe Cornbill and Byron Brown did the damage for the visitors, with Iain Macpherson firing both home goals.

Man of the match Macpherson raced through to slot home to level at 1-1, then hit the final goal of the game from close range after David Firth’s cross came back off the post.

Pelaw Grange Dogs were good 4-1 winners at Gilesgate Moor Queens Head, who started with just 10 men.

Daniel Hay volleyed the opener, with Conner Grieveson heading home for 2-0, when Moor were up to 11 players, before David Jeffers, from 25 yards, and Paul Hargreaves, after a superb pass from star man David Donnelly, made the game safe. West fired a late consolation.

David Winter’s four-goal salvo led the way as dominant Sacriston WMC eased to a 9-1 victory over Washington Cross Keys.

Dan Johnson and Luke Wilson added doubles, with Gavin Richardson making it nine. Carl Robson starred for Keys, whose marksman was Wayne Hodgson.

Ouston Cherry Tree recorded their first ever competitive win over neighbours Chester Red Lion since the two teams formed in 2009.

Ouston were the better team throughout, though Lion levelled James Anderson’s opener. Jon Morrison’s hat-trick sealed Tree’s success. He coolly slotted home after rounding the keeper for his first, then struck twice more early in the second half.

Ushaw Moor Cricket Club and Ferryhill Dynamoes shared the spoils in a scrappy 1-1 draw, with Steve Clarkson and Stephen Ward the respective marksmen.
