Ian Chandler has quit as manager of troubled Northern League club Durham City.
The Sunderland-born former Whitley Bay boss spent 18 months in charge of City, who have been forced out of New Ferens Park and seen star men Callum Patton and James Fairley depart to Jarrow Roofing and Brad Brooking to North Shields.
Assistant Brian Rowe has also left the club, who have arranged a ground-sharing deal at Consett.
Chandler famously won the FA Vase three times as manager of Whitley, having scored the winner as a player when the Hillheads outfit lifted the national trophy for the first time in 2002.
City have immediately begun their search for a new manager. Anyone interested should email email@example.com
