JARROW Roofing exited the FA Cup at the second qualifying round stage last night, when they lost to Guisborough Town in a replay.

Gilberto Chapim gave Richie McLoughlin’s side an early advantage, but, after Danny Johnson equalised from the penalty spot on 32 minutes, Roofing had Daniel Kirkup sent off in the 62nd minute.

Michael Roberts quickly fired the hosts in front and Roofing’s hopes ended seven minutes from time as James Risbrough fired home a piledriver.

Guisborough will now host Workington in the third qualifying round – two wins away from being in the first round draw alongside the likes of Wolves and Sheffield United.

Cumbrians Penrith pipped Scarborough Athletic 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 replay draw, clinching a trip to Bradford Park Avenue on October 12.
