JOSE Mourinho says he always looks forward to bringing his Chelsea team to St James’s Park – despite never winning a Premier League game at the stadium.
Newcastle United take on unbeaten league leaders Chelsea at home this afternoon.
Mourinho was told about the passion of the club’s fans by the late Sir Bobby Robson when the pair worked together at Barcelona.
And the 51-year-old always looks forward to visiting the stadium.
“St James’s Park is a special ground and Newcastle is a big club,” said Mourinho.
“I knew that since I worked with Mr Robson.
“People live for football, for the club, for the moment.
“They have a match at home and will show big passion.
“They’re a big club, and it’s unbelievable they don’t have a trophy for so many years.
“But it’s a big club, and I like it very much to play here.”
