HOUGHTON Town will aim to arrest a losing sequence which has seen them slip to sixth from bottom in the Wearside League, when they host Jarrow at Leyburn Grove tonight, writes MALCOLM PRATT.

Joint manager Anthony Cooper reports that Wayne Harrison and Chris Curtis are definite absentees, but Andrew Gartland returns.

Cooper and managerial colleague David Bond are set to hand a debut to Jamie Dickinson, who was signed on Monday.

Easington Colliery boast a 10-point lead at the top of the table ahead of the visit from Wolviston, while second-placed Ryhope CW entertain mid-table Hartlepool.

Following Saturday’s victory – only their fourth in 23 games – Silksworth meet Stockton Town, who cannot call upon Mick Waller or Shane Erskine because of work commitments. The Teessiders, though, are set to recall Joe Minto and David Johnson.

Annfield Plain go to Willington confident that Martin Lamb will make the squad. The Hall Lane side miss Wayne Dobinson and have Paul Thorns doubtful with an ankle injury. John Richardson and Danny Lee are expected to be available.
