Treble KO blow rocks Hartlepool United’s plans for Exeter

Have your say

HARTLEPOOL United have been hit by three new injuries as they chase a first home win of the season against Exeter tomorrow, writes CRAIG HOPE.

Just when it looked as if the treatment room was clearing and boss Mick Wadsworth would have a full complement of players to choose from, the early-season injury jinx struck again.

Evan Horwood (thigh) is definitely out, while major doubts linger over the fitness of Sam Collins (hamstring) and James Poole (knee).

The injuries cast a shadow over the return to fitness of Antony Sweeney (groin), Nobby Solano and Colin Nish (hamstring) plus Nathan Luscombe’s availability after suspension.
