VERSATILE Josh Rowbotham is looking to prove himself at Hartlepool United after signing a new contract.

The versatile Stockton-born 20-year-old is the latest player to have committed his future to the League Two club, following Sam Collins, Jordan Richards and Darren Holden.

Rowbotham, who has not featured for the first team for the last two seasons, said: “I feel over the moon about it, really delighted. My ambition now is to try and challenge for a natural spot in the first team and really show Colin Cooper what I am capable of.”
