Hartlepool United will face either Havant & Waterlooville or Cheltenham in the first round of the FA Cup.
The draw was made tonight live on BBC and the winners of tomorrow night's replay will travel to Victoria Park on 7th November.
If The Hawks – managed by former Manchester City and Portsmouth striker Lee Bradbury – get through the tie it will be the first time that Pools have ever played them in competitive action.
Ex-Pools loanee Marvin Morgan plays for Havant & Waterlooville, he signed a two-year deal with the National South outfit, currently 19th in the league, after being released by Plymouth Argyle in the summer.
Meanwhile, Pools signed goalkeeper Trevor Carson from Cheltenham Town in the summer. They were relegated from League Two alongside Tranmere Rovers as Pools pulled off the Great Escape. Cheltenham are currently second in the National League table as they bid to bounce straight back into the league pyramid.
Pools boss Ronnie Moore will certainly be hoping for a more successful run in the competition for the League Two club compared to last year.
Pools, under the management of former boss Paul Murray, were humiliated by non-league side Blyth Spartans at Victoria Park live on BBC.
Pools took the lead through Jonathan Franks in the 31st minute but former Pools academy player Stephen Turnbull equalised with a free-kick in the 56th minute.
Jarrett Rivers snatched a late 2-1 winner for the non-league side in the 90th minute to send Blyth into the third round.
Ties are due to be played on the weekend of Saturday 7th November.
