Sunderland Under-21 striker Mikael Mandron has linked up with Hartlepool United on loan until January 2.
The striker, who has scored five goals for Sunderland’s second string this season, joined up with the Hartlepool squad this morning, ahead of their televised clash with Leyton Orient on Sunday.
It will be the third time the 21-year-old has experienced League Two football after spells at Fleetwood and Shrewsbury, and Pools boss Ronnie Moore is confident he will add another dimension to their attacking arsenal.
“He’s a powerful lad and he gives us another option up there,” Moore told Hartlepool’s club website.
“We’re pleased Sunderland have allowed him to come here and hopefully the move will benefit both clubs.”
The Frenchman will wear the number 32 shirt, and is expected to go straight into their squad for Sunday’s clash with Orient.
