HARTLEPOOL United have been drawn at home to Rotherham United in the Northern Area quarter-final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

The tie will be played at Victoria Park in the week beginning November 11.

Colin Cooper’s Pools side are still to concede a goal in the competition, having knocked out Bradford City 5-0 and Sheffield United, in what proved to be the last match in charge of Blades boss David Weir, by a single goal on Tuesday.

Rotherham, bossed by Steve Evans, are sixth in League One after a bright start to the season.

Northern Area quarter-final draw: Oldham v Notts County, Chesterfield v Rochdale, Hartlepool Utd v Rotherham Utd, Fleetwood Town v Carlisle Utd

Southern Area quarter-final draw: Swindon Town v Wycombe, Newport County v Portsmouth, Peterborough v Dagenham & Redbridge, Stevenage v Leyton Orient
