FORMER Newcastle United and Sunderland midfielder Lee Clark has been sacked as manager of Birmingham City.
Clark had been in charge at St Andrew’s since the summer of 2012 after a spell in charge of Huddersfield Town.
He leaves with Birmingham one place and one point above the Championship’s relegation zone.
Ex-Newcastle defender Steve Watson, who was also on the club’s coaching staff, has joined Clark in leaving Birmingham.
Former Sunderland manager Malcolm Crosby has been placed in temporary charge.
