Hepple said: “I’m excited to get back on the pitch after a disappointing defeat to Yeovil last Sunday.

“We’ve trained well, so we can’t wait to get back on the pitch.

“We played some good stuff and were creating chances, so that’s what we’ll focus on and try to do more of on Sunday.”

The visit of Aston Villa gives Durham the chance to bounce back, but having tasted defeat against the Villans earlier this season Hepple is well aware of the threat they pose.

“We know Aston Villa are a strong side,” she said.

“But we know we weren’t at 100% when we played them last time, so we’re looking to rectify that and hopefully get three points.”

And with the Wildcats currently sitting in fourth place, Hepple is keen to see them pick up three vital points which will cement them in the promotion push: “We’ve still had a great start to the season and we’re looking to continue that run and get back to winning ways.

“We obviously want to perform well, but at the end of the day we just want the three points.”
