Durham County Cricket Club can confirm that paceman Mitchell Claydon has been loaned to Kent County Cricket Club.

The Australian born 30-year-old will be on loan at Kent until July 10, with the away county given the option to extend the loan beyond that date.

Claydon, who has been with Durham since 2007, will join ex-Durham team-mates Ben Harmison and Mark Davies, who have also made the transition from Durham to Kent.

He has also made appearances for Sunderland in the North East Premier League.
