HETTON Lyons finished third after a 60-run home victory over Benwell Hill.
The match was an intriguing one with Hetton piling on 258-3 in 57 overs, the main feature being stands of 75 and 96 which got the Lyons tail up.
Gary Scott hit 10 fours and two sixes on his rapid way to 75, his innings ending after sharing a second-wicket partnership with Ryan Pringle.
Jack Burnham (28) was then happy to leave the flamboyance to Pringle, who went on to score his fourth century of the summer in just 10 innings.
He ended on 105 not out from 140 balls, and included 13 fours and one six in this latest effort.
When both visiting openers were removed for ducks, it left Hill with a mountain to climb, although they looked in with a chance of reaching the summit when they recovered to 182-4 mainly through the efforts of Zohaib Khan (55) and Jonny Craigs (48).
But then Pringle kicked away their footholds with four wickets and the final six wickets went down in an avalanche for just 16 more runs.
