Sunderland held on for a 12-run win over Philadelphia in the Durham Cricket Board Junior League’s Under-15 Second Division.
Joe Defty had four fours and a six in 38, while Kyle Hutchinson hit six boundaries in 46 not out as the Ashbrooke side made 108-5. Hughes took 3-9 and Luke Robinson 2-10.
Jefferson’s excellent 52 and 29 from Robinson gave Phili a good start, but Rajiv’s 3-13 helped restrict them to 96-5.
Durham City skittled Gateshead Fell for 38 on the way to a five-wicket win.
Ellis Warren (15) top-scored for Fell as City’s bowlers dominated, with Henry Hopkins bagging 4-5.
City slipped to 21-5 before Louie Waiting’s unbeaten 17 got them home. Harvey Wake snatched 3-6.
In Division Three, Seaham Park forced a tie by finishing on 89-9 in reply to Felling’s 89-4.
Hylton were all out for 31 as Matthew Hughes plundered 4-10 to inspire Marsden, who duly won by eight wickets as Zack Curry hit 15 not out and Matthew Thompson 12.
Alfie Dutton and Elliot Lukeman took the wickets to fall.
Hetton Lyons went down by eight wickets to South Shields in Division One after being restricted to 66-7.
Ben Mckinney (25), Taylor Vout (13) and Ryan O’Connor (11) led Lyons, with Josh Leslie taking 3-4, Matthew Sheppard 2-11 and Jack Hutchinson 2-17.
Ben Scott’s 43 hurried Shields home in 14.2 overs.
Dawdon Under-11s lost their County Cup quarter-final against South Shields by 27 runs.
Liam Rodgers, Oliver Haddon and K. Abdy top-scored for the Green Drive outfit as they made 100-7 in reply to Shields’ 127-8.
Jake Pattison took 3-19 for Dawdon, while Rodgers took 2-7, with Abdy, Aidan Rowan and Keane Mitchell also striking.
George Fishwick hit 25 for Shields.
