Whitburn secured their first victory of the DCB Under-18 North East Division campaign, beating old rivals Boldon by six wickets.
Joseph Forster’s excellent knock of 44, backed by Daniel Simpson (15) helped Boldon to 86-6 in their 20 overs.
In reply, the Villagers hurried to victory with 33 balls to spare, as Luke Smith’s 46-ball 45, with six boundaries, was supported by William Johnson (20) and Howell Hurst (16).
Jack Sargon grabbed 2-23.
Wearmouth were convincing 45-run victors against Whiteleas. Openers Ryan McLoughlin (38) and McGonnell (45) sparked Wearmouth to 120-6, with Sam Robson adding 21, while Cameron Sweeney struck twice.
Two wickets apiece from Robson, McGonnell and Pattison helped Wearmouth dismiss their visitors for 75.
South Shields rattled up 173-4 before dismissing neighbours Marsden for just 26.
Seaham Harbour moved up to fourth place in the South East Division with only their second win of the season.
Openers Caleb Lowerson-Marshall (52) and Elliott Leslie (42) led the way as Harbour posted 128-5, with Callum Hutchinson making 16. Lewis and Ball both struck twice for Castle Eden, who then struggled to 79-6 in reply, thanks largely to Lewis Simpson (28no) and Reed (21).
Leslie and James Lamb both struck twice for Harbour.
Horden, all out for 64, lost by four wickets in their derby against Peterlee.
Sacriston top the Central Division after being closest rivals Chester-le-Street by seven wickets.
Opener Josh O’Brien (42) and Joe Riley (40) led Chester to 104-2 in 20 overs, but Sol Bell (28), Matthew Brown (27no), Nathan Hall (25) and Dan Stephenson (18) steered Sacriston home with an over to spare.
Eppleton Under-13s continued their winning run in the DCB Central Division with an eight-wicket victory over Philadelphia.
The Bunker Hill side were bowled out for 57 in 19.3 overs as Kristian Jefferson shone, bagging 3-5. Jake Pratt hit 25 from 20 balls, backed by Hollie Forsyth (18), to lead Eppleton home in 10 overs.
