DURHAM City defeated Philadelphia Under-15s by 67 runs to remain top of the Central Division’s Ken Ferguson Memorial Cup table.

Durham, put into bat, scored 138-1, with William Jewitt retiring on 50 not out, supported by Jonathan Bushnell (36no) and Cameron Fyfe (32).

Alex Davison (24) top-scored for Phili, but once he was out they lost frequent wickets, with Ethan Dixon (10) the only other player to reach double figures as they fell short on 71-9.

Burnmoor outgunned Eppleton by 10 wickets at Church Road.

The hosts struggled to 51 all out, with Liam Smiles (30, with four fours and a six) the only batter to shine against an inspired attack featuring Jack Hopson (4-3) and Aidan Stephenson (3-6).

Stephenson then hit an unbeaten 25, backed by 16 from Connor O’Neil, to lead Moor to victory in 11 overs.

Ryhope beat Horden by 29 runs in the South East Division’s W.A. Bennett Cup.

Liddle’s impressive knock of 41 steered Ryhope to 88-6 in their 20 overs, with Callum Robinson striking twice.

Evan Roberts (11) and Josh Miller (16) were Horden’s only batsmen to reach double figures as they fell short on 59-7 as Pickering plundered a brilliant haul of 4-9, backed by Sam Eaves (2-13).

Peterlee won their derby against Easington by three wickets.

Marcus Brown (16) and Luke Ramshaw (19) helped Easington 56-6, with Curtis Richardson bagging two wickets. Jay Nicholson’s brilliant, unbeaten 39 guided Peterlee home on 60-7 in 14.4 overs, despite Ramshaw’s tremendous haul of 4-9.

Murton succumbed by nine wickets to Castle Eden after struggling to 49-7, with Alex Watson (10no) and Jack Norman (9) top-scoring.

Unsworth (3-9) and Luke Hepple (2-9) starred with the ball for Castle Eden, who cruised to victory as Ben Simpson (33no) and Matthew Clogg (16) led the way.
