Jake Pratt was the star of the show for Eppleton as they secured an opening Durham Cricket Board Under-13 Central Division win over Washington.
Washington were all out for 71, with Pratt (4-11) the pick of the bowlers, including a hat-trick, while Josh Hutchinson took 2-7 and Nathan Bushby 2-11.
Daniel Bone top scored for Washington with 25, supported by 17 from Harvey Day.
In reply, Pratt’s unbeaten 32 and Josh Hutchinson (23) saw Eppleton home by eight wickets. Thomas Lander took 2-21.
Burnmoor made 117-3 and ran out 23-run victors when Littletown were restricted to 94-3.
Chester-le-Street reched 108-4 and held on to win by 15 runs as Durham City responded with 93-2.
Sam Norman (23, with two fours) top-scored as Murton struggled to 52-9 in their Ernie Lamb Trophy Group Two tie.
Savio Jacob (2-7), Joe Errington (2-12) and Ethan Fisher (2-9) shone with the ball for Ryhope, with Spencer White, Joe Williams and Johnathan Waterson also striking.
Errington (19no) and Waterson (18no) then hurried Ryhope home by 10 wickets in 11.1 overs.
In the Wally Hazard Memorial Trophy, Boldon just failed to win, bowled out for 70 off the last ball as Gateshead Fell (70-5) won by losing fewer wickets.
Rowan Forster (21no) led Fell’s batting, with Dylan Brock and Oliver Pallas both striking twice. Jacob McCord and Brock hit 13 apiece in Boldon’s reply, with Harvey Wake and Tom Armstrong taking two wickets apiece.
Eppleton Under-13s progressed in the David Stephinson Cup after a 28-run victory over Ryton.
Eppleton posted 146-7, Edward Brown top-scoring with 30 from 30 balls, backed by Ty Wilkinson (27), Paul Lawson (23) and Luke Johnson (17).
Openers Dan Pollard (33) and Lachlan Young-Hall (30) put Ryton in a good position, but Wilkinson had a hat-trick in a haul of 4-6 to steer Eppleton home.
Johnson bagged 2-15 as Ryton ended on 118-6.
