Whitburn beat Wearmouth by three wickets in the Durham Cricket Board Under-18 League’s George Peacock Memorial Trophy.
James Colley was run out for 52 off the last ball as Wearmouth posted 110-1 in 15 overs, backed by J. McGonnell (46no).
Whitburn lost wickets at regular intervals but got over the line, largely thanks to Ben Markham’s knock of 48, which featured six fours and a six.
Wearmouth earlier lost by nine wickets to Boldon.
McGonnell (15) and McGloughlin (16) led Wearmouth to 66-8, as Kyle Groombridge (4-16) and Ben Fox (2-13) starred.
Nathan Hewitt (27no) and Joseph Forster (25no) then hurried Boldon home in eight wickets, with Lewis Smillie taking the only wicket.
In the John Lowery Trophy, Peterlee secured a 25-run derby win over Castle Eden. E. Dunn (76, with seven fours and two sixes) and Ben Brown (64, with seven boundaries) carried their bats as Peterlee made 148-0 in 20 overs.
Castle Eden made a decent fist of their response, reaching 123-6, led by Ben Simpson (51, with six fours and a six) as Lonsdale grabbed 3-18.
