DURHAM Cricket Board Under-15s proved too strong for Northumberland in the ECB County Cup, storming to a resounding 153-run success.
Durham made 244 in 46.2 overs at South Northumberland. Ross Greenwell top-scored with 71, including 10 boundaries, backed by Edward Hurst (32), Tom Hewison (25) and Liam Burgess (25) . Salman Asif picked up 3-48.
The hosts were then dismissed for just 93, with Joe Blacklock (2-2), Liam Burgess (2-12) and Matthew Potts (2-19) all picking up wickets while keeper James Wilson impressed, with two catches and two stumpings.
H Callum Hutchinson shone with bat and ball to lead Seaham Harbour U13s to an 18-run success against South Hetton. He hit 30 in Harbour’s 84-9, then bagged three wickets as the visitors struggled to 66-9.
H Eppleton moved 15 points clear in the DCB Under-11s Central Division with a six-wicket victory over Durham City.
Kristian Jefferson (22), Josh Hutchinson (19) and Jake Pratt (16) led Eppleton to 100-4, with Tom McKenny and Tom Power both striking twice for City.
Durham fell short on 85-3, with Tom Renolds (33) the only batsman to reach double figures. Brown, Pratt and Wilkinson bagged the wickets.
Rhys Brown (16), James Watson (10) and Natghan Dickinson (10) led Easington to 100 runs, as they beat Murton by 40 runs. L. Potts top-scored with 24 for Murton.
