DURHAM are heading to Dubai for their final preparations ahead of the new season.

Geoff Cook’s side will fly out on March 25 and return on April 2, a day before their opening friendly against Durham University at the Racecourse.

In Dubai, Durham will have one-day and two-day games against Sussex, as well as taking part in the Emirates Twenty20 competition on April 1.

Meanwhile, bowler Mitch Claydon will rejoin New Zealand side Canterbury this month - his second stint there this winter - to help his build-up to the domestic campaign.
