Broken hand rules Colly out of T20

Durham will miss Paul Collingwood for four weeks with a broken hand.

The man who skippered England to T20 World Cup glory will miss all of Dynamos’ group games in the domestic 20-over competition, which starts against Yorkshire at Headingley on Friday night.

The all-rounder suffered a blow to the hand in last week’s drawn Championship game with Warwickshire.

An initial X-ray revealed no break, but a later scan showed that Collingwood has broken his second metacarpal in his right hand.
