SUNDERLAND ABC are hosting an evening of boxing at the Roker Hotel tomorrow.

There will be 14 bouts on the show.

The club, based in Barnes School, has had huge success in recent years in the development of international boxers including Isaac Macleod, Glenn Foot, Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries and Warren Baister, who won the Senior Elite ABA title last year and went on to represent England at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Sunderland’s current crop of boxers include two national champions of 2013/14, Steven Pattison and Kiaran Macdonald.

Kiaran recently became Tyne, Tees and Wear regional champion and will box in the National quarter-finals later this month where he looks to retain the national title he won last year.

Macdonald and Pattison will both feature in tomorrow’s show, with Sunderland ABC boxers aged between 10 and 24 facing opposition from across the region as well as visiting boxers from Hull, Scarborough and Liverpool.

Doors open at 7pm and spectators can pay on the door. Admission is £15 and £10 for under 10s. For more information, call 07703 807 152.
