GLEN FOOT blasted Matt Doyle away in just one minute and 20 seconds and showed why he is one of the most exciting North East boxing prospects.
Foot stepped in to the ring with the confidence after three wins out of three and showed his intentions from the off, blasting his opponent away in whilwind style.
He said: “I thought I was going to just take my time and get some rounds under my belt!
“But as soon as I threw my first right hand, I knew he just couldn’t live with me.
“I know I have power in my shots and I think if there was anyone in there tonight, they would get the same result. I am feeling so sharp and strong at the moment.”
Weighing in a trim 10st 10lbs, the Sunderland fighter has his sights high after another destructive performance.
Foot added: “I have to just make sure I keep winning fights and and getting better and better.
“I have been working extremely hard in the gym to get in shape and get ready for this fight. To train for seven weeks and perform for only a minute isn’t frustrating, it just shows I’m doing the right things in and out of the ring.
“Now it is just a case of getting back to training with Dave Binns and continuing to work hard. I can’t wait to get back in the ring.”
Foot was on the under card of Stuart Hall’s bantamweight title defence against John Donnelly.
Hall won by a stoppage to keeps his Lonsdale belt.
