Reflecting on Sunderland's Pyrex factory with 19 views of times gone by

We’re reflecting on a Sunderland factory where hundreds of people worked.

Were you one of the workers at Pyrex which was a huge part of the Wearside industrial scene until its closure in 2007?

There can’t be many households here, and elsewhere, that don’t have a Pyrex dish or piece of kitchenware in their cupboards. The brand name was synonymous with quality and for being hard-wearing.

Here are a few reminders of the factory and just some of the many people who worked there - and we’re hoping they bring back plenty of happy memories.
