Weather researchers think they have pinned down which day will see the most rain in Sunderland this summer.
A study claims the wettest day of summer 2017 in Sunderland will be Tuesday August 8, when we'll see 1.95 inches of rainfall.
The study was carried out by BuzzGrass, a manufacturer of synthetic grass.
The firm researched the average rainfall over the UK during the summer months over the last thirty years to pin point the rainiest dates.
The results found that August is likely to be the rainiest month, with the most rainfall expected in the UK on Friday August 4 when, according to historical averages, the country could see 2.05 inches fall.
Regions across the UK can vary wildly in rainfall.
The data, based from 1980 – 2016, suggests its Scotland which could receive the largest amount of rainfall this summer, with 3.1 inches of rain on August 10.
The South East of England should enjoy the driest summer, according to the study, with the rainiest day on August 4, wen its predicted to only receive 1.6 inches of rainfall.
