Two teenage boys were seen throwing around equipment in a nursery playground last night.
Police were called to a report of vandalism at Hetton Lyons Nursery School, in Hetton-le-Hole, last night (August 27).
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "At around 8.29pm on August 27, we received a report of vandalism at a nursery in Hetton le Hole.
"Two teenage boys entered the playground at Hetton Lyons Nursery School, in Four Lane Ends, and appeared to throw some of the equipment around.
"When confronted, the males left the scene.
"Officers attended the school and spoke to staff but found no damage has been caused.
"We would like to warn young people that if they behave in this manner, they could risk getting into trouble with officers."
