A man has been airlifted to hospital after being found with serious neck injuries at a house in Durham City.
Police were called to the property, on Margery Lane, at about 9.30am today, to reports of a 21-year-old man with neck injuries.
He was taken to James Cook hospital in Middlesbrough by air ambulance.
A cordon is in place at the property to allow for the police investigation.
Durham Constabulary say officers are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
Durham County Council tweeted that there were road closures in place to allow for the Great North Air Ambulance to land on Palace Green.
